Chairpersons' Message

Dear Parents,

As Chairperson of the School Parent Council I hope that all parents take the opportunity to get involved in their child's education.  This can include helping your son or daughter with their homework, attending council sponsored parent workshops (topics may include, for example, internet use, apprenticeship programs), school functions or events.  Student achievement and success improve the more that parents are involved with the school community.

The council's main objective is to give input to school and board decision makers on matters of importance to the school community and the quality of education offered at BMLSS.  We do not fund raise.  Everyone is welcome to attend the monthly  School Parent Council meetings that are held from September to June on the third Wednesday in the library (unless otherwise noted) at 7:00 pm until 8:30pm. Please check the school website at: http://bml.tldsb.on.ca and then click on "Weekly Bulletin"

If you would like any further information about the Council or have any questions please feel free to call or email me.

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
