Manna Food Drive
Are you looking to get a few volunteer hours? Maybe you are simply looking to make a difference in our community. The Muskoka Oldtimers hockey club is still in need of a few volunteers to help collect food on behalf of the Manna Food Bank.
The 411:
Who: You and a buddy or two.
When: Tuesday, Oct 3rd.
Where: Meet in the gym at Monck PS, just before 5pm.
What: We’ll match you up with a volunteer driver to cover a route somewhere in Bracebridge. Most routes will be finished by 8pm or sooner.
Why: Because up to 700 families in our community need to access the services of the Manna Food Bank. It will make you feel good to give back to the community! By the way – last year we collected over 14,500lbs of food and $2400 in one night!
What else do I need to know?
We’ll feed you a slice or two of pizza before sending you out. Your driver will offer you a safe ride home, after dropping off the food at the Bracebridge Fairgrounds (if you live particularly far, we ask that you arrange a ride to get home).
