If you, or someone you know, is facing a time of food insecurity, the Student Nutrition Program would like to help.
Student Nutrition Programs are offering gift cards and food to
children, youth and their families beginning Monday March 30th, 2020.
We want to ensure that we are meeting the needs of our community during this difficult, uncertain time. Schools are closed children and youth are still hungry.
With the collaboration of our generous funders, many partners, and Ministry funding, we agreed to act quickly to distribute food, vouchers or gift cards to the children and youth in our community.
The Student Nutrition Teams are following all regulations set out by the Public Health Units and will ensure safe physical distancing.
There will be two Student Nutrition Program hubs set up in North Bay for families to pick up breakfast items:
Mondays – The Gathering Place, 1181 Cassells Street 1:30pm – 3:30pm
Wednesdays – Home Style Café, 741 Wallace Road 1:30pm – 3:30pm
We have purchased gift cards to mail to families located in areas that we cannot physically reach.
We require families to contact us and register so we can mail gift cards directly to them.
Registration data will include names, addresses, postal codes, telephone numbers, number of children and the school the children attend.
