Trent University Programs- Applications still open


Dear Counsellor, Your students are unique – each with their own passions, skills and goals for their postsecondary pathways, and beyond. At Trent, we have 100+ programs for students to choose from – many of which are still open for applications for fall 2021. In this program spotlight, we are sharing six Trent programs as dynamic as those university-bound students you support.

For students who like to solve puzzles:Forensic Science
Students with a natural curiosity, an inquiring mind, and an interest in science, will gain access to the industry’s best experts and leading facilities in Forensics at Trent. This fall, students will also get hands-on in our brand new, sector-leading Forensic Crime Scene Facility, right here on campus, as they develop sought-after analytical skills in simulated crime scene environments.Criminology*
Getting to the heart of justice, crime and punishment, students in this program work alongside faculty experts in Sociology, Gender & Social Justice, and Indigenous Studies to understand the influence of social inequality as a cause of crime. This hybrid-model program (completed online and in person) features a full-year work placement with community organizations and agencies.

For math and science superstars:Financial Analytics
This one-of-a-kind degree prepares students for a successful career in business, finance, banking and investment. In this program, students analyze trends and implement real-world data models, building a dynamic combination of skills in multiple disciplines including mathematics, statistics, economics, business and computing.Medical Professional Stream
For students interested in a career in medicine, this unique preparatory pathway is taken jointly with any Trent B.A. or B.Sc. degree. Students have access to a variety of supports to become a well-rounded med or vet school applicant who stands out from the crowd. Direct entry pathways to three esteemed medical schools also an option for MPS students to explore.

For future business leaders:Communications
A Communications degree will open doors to careers across diverse industries. In this program, offered exclusively at our Durham GTA campus, students gain skills in critical thinking, presentation and writing. A final-year capstone project gives students the chance to apply their knowledge to make a difference in their community.Logistics & Supply Chain Management*
Events of the past year have emphasized the need for business leaders who can utilize technological information systems, detect business niches and open up new markets.
