Two annual fundraisers a success in TLDSB

Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB) recently held two fundraisers for the Feed All Four Fund, which provides direct assistance to students and their families who may need a little extra support.

The first was the fifth annual Jersey Day, held on November 28. The initiative encouraged students and staff from all schools and education centres to wear their favourite sport, club, or league jersey or t-shirt and donate a toonie, or more, for a Board-wide, community-to-community fundraiser. This year saw an added online silent auction component with two Toronto Maple Leafs memorabilia items – a signed Auston Matthews jersey and team-signed stick. A huge ‘thank you’ to the parents/guardians, students, and staff for participating and contributing to this fundraiser.

The second initiative took place on December 18 at the Lindsay Education Centre. Staff took part in a long-standing tradition of a loonie auction as a fun-filled way to celebrate the upcoming holiday while raising funds to support students.

In total, both initiatives raised a total of $9,455 – a much-needed contribution to the Feed All Four Fund. Way to go, TLDSB family!

TLDSB school/education centre closure – March 11, 2026

Due to the current and ongoing freezing rain, TLDSB has made the decision to close all schools, education centres, and child care centres in schools today, Wednesday, March 11.

Note: the Virtual Learning Centre remains open to students.

This decision was made with the safety of our students and staff as the top priority.

Please note, schools will not be moving to online learning.

We know this is an unusual circumstance and we appreciate parents/guardians for their understanding during this time.
